Get ready Battle Creek for your first-ever Live Green Fair and Home Show coming this weekend, Saturday, February 4th, from 10AM to 8PM and Sunday, February 5th, 11AM to 4PM at Kellogg Arena. The Live Green Fair will feature over 60 exhibitors with products to help you live green and reduce your carbon footprint. The Battle Creek Live Green Fair and Home Show has free admission to the public, which is sponsored in part by CBS News Channel 3 WWMT, CW7 and WIN 98.5 Your Country and McCullough Family Chiropractic.
The Live Green Fair and Home Show will feature plenty of great ideas on how to save money on your energy bills by installing super-insulated windows, doors, siding and roofs, home insulation, energy-efficient furnaces, water heaters, and air conditioners and plethora of great ideas to help you live a green and sustainable life.
Exhibitors include Darrel Burke Construction, All-Weather Seal, Rodger's Refrigeration, Doctor Energy Saver, Bath Fitters, The Red Cross, and Besco Water Treatment, all of whom are experts in their fields and will be available to to answer your questions.
Bring your unwanted shoes to the Live Green Fair and we will send them to Africa. Live Green Fair's goal is to collect over 1,000 pairs of shoes at these events.
Bring your extra/obsolete televisions, computers, monitors, printers, cellular phones, and other electronics and we will recycle the recyclable parts and properly dispose of the hazardous parts safely.
Drop off non-perishable food items to donate to charity and McCullough Family Chiropractic will give you one free chiropractic appointment (new patients only).
Experts will be available at the Live Green Fair to register attendees for a personal home inspection and to suggest ways to save energy and money at the same time.
The 2012 Live Green Fair and Home Show event will be organized into five different sections designed to entertain and enlighten those pursuing an eco-friendly lifestyle. These sections will include:
- The Green Home Show will feature home needs and energy conservation information, including super-insulating windows, high-efficiency furnaces, free organic food samples, kitchen and bath replacement experts, and home insulation companies
- The Green Art section will feature environmentally-aware art and art made from recycled materials
- The Health and Wellness section will feature modern and alternative information on living a healthy lifestyle, including a doctor who specializes in nutrition who will be available to answer your questions
- The Natural Energy section will feature solar, wind and geothermal power generation displays (courtesy of CTI Mechanical)
- The Green Vehicles section will feature electric cars, hybrid cars, and high MPG vehicles from the best dealerships in the area, including Lakeview Ford Lincoln, Battle Creek Honda, DeMaagd GMC Nissan, Heritage Chevrolet, Sunshine Toyota, and Seelye Wright KIA of Battle Creek
